Technology working group 2025

Yesterday was the day: The first technology working group in 25 years took place! Representatives of the companies Bechtle PLM Fertigung & Produktion , Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence , Hoffmann Group , ModuleWorks , Siemens , TDM Systems , E. ZOLLER GmbH & Co. KG and CIMSOURCE GmbH set the cornerstones for future cooperation at this first meeting. The aim is to improve networking between software providers and users of the standard in order to eliminate technical errors in DIN4000 and avoid them in future. By jointly representing these points in the standards committee, a higher enforcement rate is to be achieved despite numerical under-representation. The working group meetings are to take place shortly before each DIN4000 meeting.

However, the topics addressed yesterday, which were to be dealt with in the technical working group, went far beyond the pure work in DIN4000. Numerous ISO13399 topics and problems with data exchange were addressed.

All topics that we cannot accommodate in DIN or ISO will in future be the content of Standard OpenBase (StOB). This will enable us to further optimize the exchange of data.
