And on we go! Today’s ad-hoc session on ISO13399 – Part 90 dealt with the way in which different files (graphics, geometry data, deliverables, etc.) can be combined into one data set.
The solution should be a ZIP file (so-called container) with a defined folder structure for the respective file types and an XML file (container file) that works like a waybill.
In it, the referenced files, which are either in the container or available online, are assigned to an article number via links. (Similar to DIN26100.)
A special feature of the ISO solution is the option of specifying your own complete (e.g. manufacturer-specific) classification in the container file.
